Important Dates

In order to make the tax year as manageable as possible Omega 2 accounting provide a list of the most immediate tax deadlines as well as those that are a little further off. Though not all these dates will apply to everyone, there are some that will.

Regarding the tax return form UK taxpayers should note that there are now two deadlines depending on which method of submitting the return is used.

5th April 2008	End of the 2007 / 2008 tax year
19th April 2008	Deadline for the final payment by Employers of PAYE and NIC due for the 2007-2008 tax year
19th May 2008	Deadline for the submission of form P35 by employers
5th July 2008	Deadline for the submission of form P11d by employers
19th July 2008	Deadline for the quarterly payment of PAYE and NIC by employers
31st July 2008	Date by which the 2nd Payment on Account for the 2007-2008 tax year is due
31st October 2008	Deadline for the submission of paper tax returns for the year ending 5th April 2008
31st January 2009	When submitting a tax return online UK tax payers must file their returns by 31st January 2008
